Inspiration Board: New Year's Eve Wedding

What better way to start your lives together than by celebrating your marriage on New Year's Eve with friends and family? A palette of soft pinks and glittery golds and silvers make this event sparkle and shine. I love the emphasis on sweet treats and champagne, and the cut-out moon photo booth looks divine as decor and would be so much fun for guests.
Happy New Year's everyone!

2009 in Review: Favorite Real Weddings

#5 - Real Wedding: Jennie and Rocky - My final favorite real wedding featured on Marry You Me this year! This Napa Valley wedding is the epitome of rustic chic wedding style. I love the softness of the pale pastels with the bright pops of color from the flowers and the bridesmaids dresses. And the dining areas! This is a wedding I would love to have attended.

2009 in Review: Favorite Real Weddings

# 3 - Real Wedding: Cara and James - This wedding was so cute and playful - with cheery yellow decor, lawn games and lemonade. And Cara wore one of my favorite wedding dresses of all time - the Melissa Sweet 'Dora'. A Swiss dot wedding dress. Enough said. :)

#2 - Real Wedding: Kelsey and Robby - The wedding of Food Network's The Next FN Star Kelsey Nixon was pretty much a tie for the #1 spot of the year. (Actually it may be my favorite). The red and aqua color scheme was perfect - not too sugary. A retro feel throughout the wedding from Kelsey's Melissa Sweet tea length gown and birdcage veil and adorable headband to her Jackie Kennedy inspired getaway gown - loved it all!

2009 in Review: Favorite Real Weddings

As this year comes to an end, I am feeling nostalgic and wanted to do a little look back at some of my personal favorite posts that have graced Marry You Me, starting with my favorite real weddings!

This wedding had such a sweet, timeless feel to it, a pastel color palette, and a drop dead gorgeous bride in one of the prettiest dresses of the year.

Inspiration Board: Chic Glamour

I fell in love with the photo shoot in the last issue ever of Elegant Bride that was inspired by the style of interior design guru Dorothy Draper. I mean, other wedding magazines just don't show you something as inspired as that every day. I love the flower border on the drapery, the black and white stripe mixed with the almost wallpaper-like floral print and the full lush floral arrangements. And that Oscar de la Renta dress? Divine.

Inspiration Board: Marry You Me inspiration

So e-friends - I need your opinion! I have been contacted by an amazing graphic designer who has graciously offered to give me some much needed help with the look of Marry You Me. She wanted me to create an inspiration board for her that gave the feel and look I want to go for…and this is what I came up with. I was going for a girly, vintage, sophisticated, sweet style. I want your honest opinions and feedback on it for what the new look of my blog should be. Let me know! Thanks so much :) xoxo Annie

Inspiration Board: Moody Blues

A wintery wedding inspired by moody shades of blues paired with winter white and a touch of sophisticated black. This has a elegant, somewhat vintage feel to it - I love the romantic ruffled dress, the ice blue beaded caplet, the birds here and there in the decor, blue and white patterned china, the groom in all blue, of course I couldn't resist including the Something Blue Manolo Blahnik shoes, escort cards in hues of blue and for a grand finish, a ruffled cake inspired by the bride's dress with a chalkboard background mimicking the white calligraphy all over this wedding.INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #8 - Moody Blues

Wedding Design: Soft Wool by Brancoprata

I am loving this wintry design concept and tablescape that my dear e-friend Sofia of Brancoprata put together along with her business partner and other half Andre. She was inspired by wool yarn and wool pom-poms and the results of her efforts are amazing and would be so lovely for a winter wedding! The soft wool feel along with a crisp clean white paired with the softest of pastels make this design concept almost heavenly - everything was DIY'd by Sofia - pretty amazing!

From Sofia: "Now that Winter is here, we felt the need to do something with wool pompons and then when we saw this Christmas decoration by Jennifer (of The Little Things) and we knew exactly what to do!"
