Ikea Amazingness

Have you seen this?? These shoots were styled for Ikea by Lo Bjurulf for Agent Bauer, and they are pure rustic eclecticism at it's best. I love how they chose to show ways to use Ikea products for events - Brilliant! Feast your eyes on the gorgeousness...

Inspiration Board: A Gatsby Garden Party

I was feeling nostalgic for the days of summer reading lists when I got to sit in the sun reading classics like The Great Gatsby. One of my favorite books of all time, it's also an amazing theme for a party or a wedding. This is a summer garden party take on the theme, with tents and long tables, lawn games, Charleston contests, champagne punch, bowties, hats, gloves and classic cars. Who wouldn't LOVE to go to a wedding like this I ask you? Actually makes me excited for my 30th birthday (a few years away still!) since the hubby said we can do a big Gatsby themed party :) You'll all be invited.

Lost in Austen and Nonpareil Magazine

The latest issue of Nonpareil magazine is out, and they never cease to amaze me with the amount of wedding fabulousness that they pack into a single issue. For this issue, teams of vendors worked on different wedding decor inspired by movies and television, and I fell head over heels for the 'Happily Ever Austen' shoot inspired by BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth (the only Pride and Prejudice worth watching in my book - sorry Keira Knightly). The talented team of vendors that put this shoot together included Anne Sage, Lisa Lefkowitz Photography, Sharla Flock Designs, Cake Coquette, and Bella Figura. The results are stunning!!
Sigh. Pitch perfect and lovely in every way. You simply must read the entire issue of Nonpareil magazine!

A Glam Bridal Session and Monique Lhuillier dreaminess

I think we could all use a little glamour on this Monday morning... How amazing is this Monique Lhuillier dress and fab headpiece? Stephanie worked it at her bridal session with photographer Dustin Izatt. So so glam and chic and I could go on and on...

Inspiration Board: Sweethearts

I love the sweetness that love can possess, and this wedding is all about the sweetheart factor. Sugar, spice and everything nice! (I'm craving cupcakes and candy today, can you tell??) Oh, and someone MUST serve ice cream cows with their cake at their wedding - because it would be amazing.

E-Session: In a Laundromat, a Cafe and an Orchard

What don't I love about today's e-session? Not only is the couple adorable - but I love the variety of shots they got at their engagement session with Lydia of D.I.A. Images. You know when you are brainstorming e-session location ideas, and you settle on one and toss the others out? Lindsey and Eric did no such thing - opting for several fun locations and I am loving the results. Oh and the giant L + E letters in the laundromat? Genius!

Thanks so much to Lydia of D.I.A. Images for sharing!

Monday Inspirations and Grad Party Pics

Last night was the graduation party that I planned for my little brother (yay Kevin!). It was a huge success and lots of fun, but I'm more than a little tired this morning! Until tomorrow, here's some lovely bits from around the wedding blog universe that I'm feeling super inspired by... And a few pics from the grad party!

A sweet engagement session on Love and Lavender.

The inspiration amazingness continues today over on The Sweetest Occasion with a breakfast wedding shoot by Dandelion & Grey, Olive Juice Photography and Dapper Paper.

This awesomely awesome wedding full of DIY details featured today on grey likes weddings.

And here's a few pics of the decor I did for my brother's grad party last night. His high school colors were red and black and he is attending Southern Oregon University next year, and they have the same colors! I went with an "old-school" school theme - chalkboards, red and white check linens, locker-style containers, a popcorn machine, and I made a red, white and black banner and hung paper graduation hats from bistro lights strung above the patio.

I made ice cream sandwiches that were a huge hit.
I got a big piece of plywood and painted it with chalkboard paint to make a fun photo backdrop where his friends could write him messages using chalk pens.
