Real Wedding: Kelsey and Robby

Confession: Ever since I saw this wedding last July (yep, over a year ago), I have been dying to share it as it is one of my all time top favorite weddings. Whats not to love about this affair? From the adorable bride and groom, Kelsey's tea length dress and bridcage veil, the ’40s and ’50s retro theme, the red and robin’s-egg blue color scheme, to the amazing flowers, I'm so excited to share this wedding! Kelsey is a local Utah chef who was a finalist on the TV show The Next Food Network Star, and has been dubbed "Mini Martha". After a rehearsal barbeque dinner the night before, the couple was married in the LDS temple in Bountiful, Utah before heading over to a fun reception at McCune Mansion in downtown Salt Lake City. All of the a-ma-zing photos (including a few fun Polaroids!) were taken by Nicole Hill Gerulat, one of my favorite wedding photographers, whose shooting style I think matched with this wedding just perfectly!

Kelsey’s red-centric bouquet created by Every Blooming Thing featured some of her favorite flowers, including red poppies, ranunculus, and zinnias.

Robby wore a classic black suit by Hugo Boss; Kelsey wore an adorable Melissa Sweet tea length gown along with a custom bolero, red shoes, and adorable headband and birdcage veil.

From the bride, Kelsey: “We instantly fell in love with the charm of the McCune Mansion. When you walk in, you feel like you’re somewhere special, and that is exactly how we wanted our guests to feel.”

The bridesmaids wore blue dresses and carried mini versions of Kelsey's red bouquet.

Love the kissing pic! So Old Hollywood.
A vintage photo booth made for lots of fun where guests added their photo strips to the guestbook.

How happy do they look?; The one element of Kelsey's I had to borrow for my wedding - strawberry and mint flavored water!

After the reception, Kelsey changed into a white cocktail getaway dress - “The dress was very Jackie O,” she says; Cones filled with red petals for guests to toss.
