Real Wedding: Green and Yellow in Eugene (Go Ducks!)
Labels:
real wedding
In honor of the University of Oregon (where I am currently finishing my journalism degree, and where I met my husband) Ducks playing in the BCS National Championship game today, I found a lovely little Eugene, Oregon (home to the University of Oregon and the Ducks) wedding that happens to be in Duck colors - green and yellow - to share with you all today! I love so much about this wedding - the lovely riverside outdoor location, the long tables, the amazing cake table + canopy, the lovely yellow and green flowers, her amazing dress. Hope you enjoy it, and GO DUCKS!

Inspiration Board: Wintergreen + Slate
Labels:
inspiration board
Today's inspiration board is all about a palette that I think would be lovely in winter but could also work for spring - wintergreen and slate with white and hints of a warm cream color mixed in. The feel is relaxed formal, the dresses are sheer but layered, the flowers are lush with white blooms, succulents and greenery. The slate color is always present but is never too dark. I love the green and white stationery, the champagne bar (what drink could be more perfect for celebrating?), the bay leaf garland, and for a departure from tradition - unconventional yet delicious cream puffs for dessert in leiu of a wedding cake.

Love Shoot in London
Labels:
love shoot
When I saw this love shoot from London, I was totally blown away. Just a bride and a groom in some pretty cool spots around town - no props or overdone poses. Elizabeth Lois was able to capture them just as they are in a few lovely London locations. The shoot took less than an hour (!) - and the results are stunning. I adore the bride's vintage dress, veil by Flo & Percy, her hand tied bouquet gathered from the Columbia Road flower market that morning, and her sweet floral platforms from Miss Selfridge!

These adorable shoes are from the shoot I'm sharing tomorrow. I love the floral print and that sweet bow - just divine! And I'm really going for the mixing stripes with prints look. Can't wait to show you the rest of this lovely London photo shoot!

Inspiration Board: London Calling
Labels:
inspiration board
It's my first post of 2011, and I wanted to make it symbolic of what I want to achieve this year: Going to London for three months this spring with my husband to study, travel and meet friends abroad - most importantly my dear friend Sofia of Brancoprata in Porto, Portugal who made this lovely little inspiration board. Oh, did I mention we'll be living in London when the Royal wedding takes place in April? :) I'd love to turn it into a freelance writing opportunity and be an 'American in London Royal wedding correspondent'.
I'm a firm believer in visualizing what you want out of life, and the power of positive thinking and how it can attract good circumstances, events and people into your life. So here's to making 2011 a fabulous year filled with amazing opportunity!
