Real Wedding: Nicole and Adam

Ever since photographer and blogger Nicole Hill Gerulat got married a year ago, I have been dying to see the pictures of her big day taken by the super talented Elizabeth Messina. The few pics Nicole cryptically posted were so great, and then I saw this super adorable video teaser from their wedding by David Perry Films and couldn't stand it. Last night Nicole and Elizabeth Messina both shared the photos on their blogs and I have to say - the results are incredible. They are going to be published in Wedding Style Guide and Get Married magazines! Everything at this wedding was basically handmade by Nicole or her family. Oh and she planned it in a mere six weeks. Read on for more of the amazing details of this lovely homespun affair.

So many lovely details!

The reception took place at Sundance Resort (owned by Robert Redford!) in Sundance, Utah. On the way there Nicole and Adam stopped off for some pictures at a you-pick apple orchard. Fresh picked apples were among some of the favors for guests.

Nicole had horseshoe patches sewn onto the inside of her Vera Wang dress with all the dates of the 5 generations of women on her maternal side who were married before her in the Salt Lake LDS temple.

Horseshoes were a big theme of this wedding. They mean good luck of course, and also a nod to her heritage. Her grandfather was a rodeo cowboy, and inspired by a horseshoe ring her great uncle wears she had rhinestone horseshoe rings made for all her sisters. Horseshoe flower wreaths adorned the doors to the reception.

As guests left for the evening, they received homemade cookies with the recipes enclosed.

The adorable fondant cake and a sparkler getaway!
