Inspiration Board: Opulent Elegance

This board feels to me like eighteenth century romance. With its glistening golds, rich reds, and black, it's something straight out of a Gothic romance novel but all the while super sophisticated. While it looks super luxe, the look can be easily pulled off on a budget with some simple DIY. The pomegranate seating cards are an easy DIY that make a huge statement, as do the DIY gold painted leaf centerpieces and gold leaves in the rose bouquet tied with a velvet ribbon - all are an opulent nod to fall. Splurge by adding some hand calligraphy in places like your envelopes, place cards and menus to complete the opulent look.

  1. Love the black calligraphy envelopes - just the right thing for an inspiration board I'm putting together for a bride I'm working with.
