Wedding (in) March

I'm a little under the weather today - must be from all of our celebrating, since yesterday was our 6 month wedding anniversary! I was just telling my husband last night, more people should get married in March, so all next week I am going to have "A March Wedding" themed posts.

Sweetest Save-the-Dates

Today Jessica the Budget Savvy Bride has been nice enough to let me share the Save-the-Dates she designed for her wedding. I just adore the use of her engagement pictures, especially the shots she chose. Those red shoes! That adorable white dress! And the leg-up kissing picture! So perfect...



She ordered the Save-the-Date cards through Overnight Prints, and then added her own DIY touch to the envelopes by printing the return addresses with her monogram as well as addressing the envelopes - all on her HP C6380 Wireless Printer. If she wouldn't have shared that, I would have sworn she had gone the calligraphy route!

Seattle Boutique Chic

Since there are still bare trees, cold temperatures and snow (it snowed yesterday and is supposed to again today) here in Oregon, it still feels like winter to me. So I thought I would feature a winter feeling wedding. I saw Julie and Ken's wedding in the Fall/Winter 2008 issue of Seattle Bride and just loved the feel of it! So Seattle - trendy yet had a timeless and almost vintage feel. It took place at the Lake Union Cafe in Seattle, and Julie let the cafe's Art-Deco interior inspire her wedding. I heart her Vera Wang charcoal-and-cream dress on her, and the gardenia and ostrich feather bouquet by Fleurish is just too perfect! I love the whites, charcoal and deep blue colors she chose - so wintery. The cake by Jen's Desserts has to be one of the best details for this wintery wedding - it's covered in "sugar sequins" that look like sparkling snow.

A Provencal Wedding

This board was trickier to put together, balancing the lavender, yellow and blue colors. It's still a work in progress, but I love the warm French country feel to the wedding.
