Inspiration Board: Sweet Sakura

Who can resist the allure of the sweet delicate cherry blossom? I personally love the big fluffy cherry blossom flowers (like the Kwanzan), and got super inspired by the picture of the grove of trees. Add in a light-as-air dress like this one by Sarah Seven, some sweet homemade cherry blossom doughnuts, and some pretty pink accents to play off of this pretty flowering branch.

Adorable Idea: DIY Pancake Breakfast

When I saw this DIY pancake breakfast shoot on Design*Sponge that was put together by Once Wed, Ashley Meaders of The Flashdance and Jesse Chamberlin of Our Labor of Love, I thought it would make the sweetest bridesmaids' luncheon. The bridesmaids' luncheon is by no means a requirement, but it can be a nice way for the bride to thank her bridesmaids and to present them with her bridesmaids' gifts. It can also be a fun chance to finish up some last minute DIY projects as a group (nothing too heavy - we made tissue paper pom poms for my rehearsal dinner at my bridesmaids' luncheon). So feast your eyes on the sweet ideas from this oh-so-inspirational shoot!

Inspiration Board: A Coastal Wedding

There are beach weddings, and then there are coastal beach weddings. There's something about a blue-grey sea, rocky coast line, and misty fog that is just so romantic and makes you want to snuggle up to someone you love while watching the waves roll in by a driftwood fire. A pale palette of neutral colors with light blue mixed in acts as the perfect complement to the natural surroundings. These lovely pickling jars could act as holders for cards, well wishes or silverware and can be used after the wedding. A antique chair painted a light blue makes a stunning prop for photos and can grace your newlywed nest long after. Centerpieces of driftwood and candles would be stunning yet have a natural and understated elegance to them. Mix in bud vases filled with one or two blooms for even more interest.

Free Download Thursday

This week for Free Download Thursday I have some lovely little printables to share from the amazing second issue of Nonpareil Magazine, the free online magazine collaboration between Maddy of The Inspired Bride and Kristen of Paper Crave. The magazine does such a fantastic job of approaching weddings "with a focus on hip, stylish, do-it-yourself projects and inspiration", making it one of my favorite resources.

First up is this little bit of invitation sweetness, which comes in four different color options.
Printable wedding invitations, envelope liners, and thank you notes designed by Katie McDonough Kutil of Chelle Paperie and available in four colorways. Downloads and font suggestions here.

And next are these super sweet announcements and envelope liners.
Printable wedding announcements and coordinating envelope liners, designed by Melanie Carter of Lucky + Lovely. Downloads available here.

I have to share some of the other pics from this feature, put together by Melanie Carter of Lucky + Lovely, Erin Bauer of Aregreyline Wedding, and Amy Osaba. So many great ideas and projects, I love the look and feel of this shoot and I'm dying over these flowers by Amy Osaba!
